“I remember the quintessence
of my being.
I take heed of my inhale
I deeply exhale and wait
to see that which lies underneath
of all I pretend to be”
-Deanna Araceli
My Story
In 2016, I was living in Mexico City and in the middle of reclaiming my identity as an artist. I came upon a poetry book that spoke of a woman’s trauma, and I realized I had many stories to tell. So, in one day, I wrote 10 poems and continued to write down all of my past.
Now you too can peer into the depths of my personal experiences.
